Students are raging, resulting in the teachers raging back. I have had my desk cleaned about 5 different times due to so many kids being punished they ran out of stuff to clean. It's kinda nice but god...everyone here needs a vacation.

Today is Peppero Day, a day that actually was invented by the candy company. Peppero are little stick crackers that are covered in chocolate. because they are sticks, every November 11 (11/11) is peppero day, a day when middle school girls give out candy to each other and their crushes...or when middle age married give candy and gifts to the handsome foreigner. I also dropped $40 on it to make sure my coteacher had the best fucking Peppero in the school...damn straight she did.

Just noticed its the 2 month anniversary since i've posted anything...happy anniversary. I wish I had excuses other than my laziness and me not thinking about it, but i dont. So I was accosted yesterday by a friend for writing a post yesterday and not mentioning what he described as the "most important music day in Korea." Sigh, Kpop has broken the minds of many, myself included.

Yesterday the Kpop band 2NE1 dropped its 2nd album. No for those of you who don't know, Kpop artists drop albums just about as often as a Korean woman looks in the mirror (i.e. alot), so this usually means nothing to me. But it's been a whole year (oh my) since their last album, so a few of my friends are acting like 16 year old school girls and can't contain their excitement. (if only their mother in the hills of north carolina could see you right now...)

So, here's a little bit of brief history of the wonder that is 2NE1




...they actually sing during a performance. maybe a first in korea.


Now for the new songs. Still very much kpop, just with more autotune now.

Big (sorta) news in the music world was that the founding member of the Electric Light Orchestra was killed when a bale of hay rolled down a hill and landed on his car. Now, I will be the first to admit I was not a ELO fan...but thats a hell of a way to go.
